Take Your Child to Work Day April 24th 1314 Douglas Street & 19th & Douglas Omaha, NE Children and young guests of Qwest employees participate in various activities to learn about Qwest and the telecommunications industry. The Pioneers brings Project Connect to the day. Project Connect is a series of 7 web-based learning applications that combine a fun, gaming experience with educational content related to our everyday experiences with telecommunications technology. Children's Groundwater Festival May 13th 8:00AM - 4:00PM Central Community College & College Park Grand Island, NE The purpose of the event is to educate 4th & 5th grade students about groundwater and its relationship to other natural resources in a fun & interactive atmosphere. While participating in hands-on activities, stage shows, and exhibits, students will discover their potential for environmental stewardship & learn how working together can impact natural resources conservation. Women's Shelter Drive April 21- May 30 1314 Douglas Street Omaha, NE We will be collecting paper towels, tissues, toilet paper, dryer sheets, sidewalk chalk, coloring books, and crayons for the benefit of the local Women's Shelter.
